* Athlete Notes: This conditioning piece provides a unique challenge that the majority of athletes have never faced. They will be asked to perform an Offset partner deadlift. This is asked so that whether you have all male, all female, or mixed teams, everyone can participate in this unique challenge. Athletes must communicate and be synchronized to make the weight feel light. If timing is off, one athlete will be supporting more of the weight than the other. 340 pounds (All Male or Mixed Team) is loaded with 45lb plates and then an extra 25lb plate on one side. The 250 pound bar is loaded with 45lb plates and then an extra 25lb plate on one side. Both Male/Female Weights should be loaded preferably on a mens barbell. If there are not enough mens barbells, load a 35lb plate on one side for the weight difference of using a women’s barbell. These weights may seem heavy, but two athletes lifting one barbell realistically puts the load on each person of either 170lbs or 125lbs.
* Flow: Athlete 1 will row while athletes 2/3 deadlift and perform synchronized burpees over bar. When athletes 2/3 finish the burpees, all 3 athletes will go off on a 200M run. When returning, Athlete 2 will now row, while athletes 1/3 deadlift and perform burpees. Keep repeating this process for 30:00. The athlete performing deadlifts on the heavier side of the barbell should be the athlete on the lighter side of the barbell upon returning from the run.
